Your project sounds like a great way to support families. I’m impressed with the way you’ve combined resources to reach out and help people in your community. I look forward to reading more about your group. Keep up the good work!

The Peer-to-Peer group along with a Faith-based group from Faith United Methodist Church have put together “emergency care kits” for families of cancer patients who stay at the Ronlald McDonald(RMcD) in Houston’s Medical Center. The group has also created an informative brochure on the issues facing families of pediatric cancer patients. We will travel this Sunday to the Medical Center to drop off the cancer kits at RMcD House, and take a tour of it. Then we’ll travel a few miles to downtown Houston and pass out our brochures at the Houston International Festival. We have invited two pediatric cancer patients and their families to join us at the Festival. One little boy is a poster child for Pediatric Cancer for one of the hospitals in Houston. Hopefully, our project will do something to help bring community attention and care to those families dealing with this terrible “Lion”.#1 04/19/07 12:50 PM posted by melissa Dear Peer to Peer,
